BAILEY, Raymond Collins of San Diego, CA, born August 31, 1927 in Urbana, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Preceded in death by beloved wife, Dorothy (Dot) Bailey (married 62 years). Devoted father of Roger (Wanda) Bailey (AZ) and Elaine (Ken) Young (IL). Cherished grandfather of Heather Cochrane (IL) and great grandfather of Devonte, Jordan, and Caroline Cochrane. He is also survived by his sister, Stephanie Purkey (IL). Mr. Bailey lived in Otay Mesa for over 58 years. During World War II, he served on the USS Franklin and is also a Korean War Veteran. Retired United States Navy First Class Photo Mate, a retiree from Rohr, and a professional photographer. Mr. Bailey will be interred at Glenn Abbey Mortuary in Bonita. Viewing will be Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be Monday, November 26 at 10 am. The family is asking for donations to the National World War II Museum in New Orleans in lieu of flowers.
