Elbert James “Jack” Little Jr.

Approximately 1924 – January 12, 2012

Elbert James “Jack” Little Jr., age 87, was a Nashville native and World War II veteran. He served in the United States Navy aboard USS Franklin and survived the devastating attack on the carrier. He appears on the USS Franklin 704 Club roster as Elbert James Little Jr., F1/c (MoMM), SVV-6 USNR.

After the war, Jack graduated from Vanderbilt-Peabody and worked as a general engineer in missile-defense research. He was survived by his daughters Carol Pybas, Ann Hernandez, and Sue Baggett, and five grandchildren. A memorial service was held at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Huntsville, Alabama.
