Harry was survived only by his son Harry S Collier Jr, 3 grandsons and 2 grand daughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife (Katherine Mae Collier (Cox)) and his daughter (Sandra M. Grimmett (Collier))
Harry was cremated and will be laid to rest next to his wife Katherine Mae Collier in Hinton, WV.

Obituary, Rudolph F. “Rudy” Polito.

Rudolph F. “Rudy” Polito, 91, of Syracuse, NY, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 in Bradenton, Florida. He was born in Syracuse on August 1, 1927, son of the late Sebastiano and Gaetana (Sgroi) Polito.
He is predeceased by his wife, Margaret “Marge” Polito in 2010; two brothers, Louis Politi and James Polito; two sisters, Emily DeLucia and Mary Northrup. Rudy served in the US Navy during WWII, cruising the Atlantic Coast on several vessels including the USS Wisconsin and the USS Franklin. Rudy and Marge were married for 59 years and raised four children. He worked as a skilled machinist at the Carrier Corporation and retired after 35 years. His life’s passion was carpentry. He had a natural skill and used it to build the family home on Snyder Ave. and he generously helped friends and family with projects, big and small. In the 1960’s Rudy worked shoulder to shoulder with Marge to build Marge Polito’s Florist, a successful family business they ran for 40 years and is still operating. He and Marge enjoyed traveling, spending their winters in Bradenton FL, and especially spending time with their family. Rudy was a member of Our Lady of Pompei Holy Name Society and Parish. He was also a communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic church in Bradenton, FL.
Rudy is survived by four children, Vinnie (Donna) Polito, Rudy (Linda) Polito, Susan (Jerry Shaw) Polito and Jacqueline (Paul) Colaneri; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sister, Adeline Canestrare; sister-in-law, Josephine Polito, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Rudy’s life at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.

USS Franklin Museum Association members should have received a Ballot for the 2017 elections from Secretary Kathy Lyons through the US mail last week (August 17th, 2018) . If you did not receive a ballot, please contact Kathy Lyons directly. Ballots are due back to Kathy by September 1, 2018.

As discussed at the general meeting in New Orleans, there will be a second ballot mailed November 2018 for Board Members up for re-election for 2018.
